Kakinada, June 2 -- Panchayat workers affiliated with the AP Panchayat Workers union and supported by the Centre of Indian Trade Unions staged a dharna in front of the Valasapakala Panchayat Office in Kakinada Rural Mandal on Tuesday, demanding the immediate release of wages pending for three months.

The protesting workers raised slogans seeking payment of salary arrears for March, April and May, and called for the implementation of Provident Fund (PF) and Employees' State Insurance (ESI) benefits.
