Ranchi, Sept. 12 -- The Deputy Development Commissioner of Ranchi Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania, today inaugurated the Palash Vending Machine and the Aajeevika Gramin Expressway Scheme under the aegis of the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS). He flagged off two cargo vehicles at the Collectorate. The initiatives aim to strengthen rural livelihoods and empower women economically through self-help groups (SHGs).
The Palash Vending Machine scheme will enable SHG members to directly supply agricultural and allied products to consumers. Officials said this step will not only ensure farmers and SHG women get better prices for their produce but will also provide consumers with fresh, locally sourced products.
