Palamu, July 11 -- The Palamu Police claim to have solved a murder case with the arrest of 27-year-old Tabrez Alam, who allegedly killed his former colleague by injecting a sedative and strangling him before dumping the body in a canal. The body of Tabish Ansari was recovered on July 8 from a canal in Japla Dharhara under Hussainabad police station. A case was registered the same day under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Investigation led by SDPO S. Mo. Yakub revealed that the accused held a grudge against the victim over a job loss and pending dues. On July 6, Tabrez allegedly administered a ketamine injection to Tabish, rendering him unconscious, and then killed him using a cloth strip.
