Chennai, Jan. 16 -- The traditional Jallikattu event, taming of bulls,asociated with the annual Pongal festivites in southern Tamil Naduwas being held at tge Manjamalai Riverbed at Palamedu in Maduraidistridt on Friday.
This is the second of three major Jallikattu events in Madurai and thefirst one was held at Avuniapuram yesterday and the last one wouldthe Blue Riband event, the World famous Alanganallur Jallikattu.
A total of 1,000 bulls and 600 bull tamers have registered for today'sevent.
