Hyderabad, July 5 -- All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Member of Parliament from Hyderabad, Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday urged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to immediately halt the proposed relocation of the Gudimalkapur vegetable and flower market to Aziznagar in Rangareddy district.

In a post on social media platform X, Owaisi said the Gudimalkapur market caters to the needs of residents of South and West Hyderabad and that shifting it to Aziznagar would adversely affect the livelihoods of nearly 10,000 families.

He alleged that the chairman of the market committee was attempting to relocate the market without justification, despite the proposal being contrary to the provisions of the Market Act, 1966.
