New Delhi, Sept. 7 -- A week after competing at the higher altitudes of the Himalayas, Rajasthan's Deva Ram overcame fever and minor niggles to finish second at the third Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon in Udaipur.
Ram, the winner of the previous edition, clocked 1:11.10 to finish behind Mukesh Kumar on Sunday, who won the race in 1:08.47. Gaje Singh Rathore was third in 1:11.49.
In the women's category, Pooja topped the podium with a timing of 1:26.09. Sapna Raghuwanshi finished second in 1:31.57, while Teena Gurjar was third in 1:32.49.
The second-place finish was not entirely satisfying for Ram, who has a personal best of 1:04 and had hoped to improve his timing in Udaipur. However, having competed in a run in Spiti on August 30, he f...
