Hyderabad, June 7 -- Hyderabad and Cyberabad Traffic Police booked more than 700 drunk driving cases during special enforcement drives conducted over the weekend to enhance road safety.

Hyderabad Traffic Police, during a two-day special drive on June 5 and 6, caught 422 motorists driving under the influence of alcohol. Of them, 347 were two-wheeler riders, 33 were three-wheeler drivers, and 42 were four-wheeler drivers.

Police said 13 offenders recorded Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) levels above 300 mg/100 ml, a police statement said on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Cyberabad Traffic Police apprehended 284 offenders during a separate weekend drive. The cases included 247 two-wheelers, three three-wheelers, and 34 four-wheelers. As many as 28 of...
