Vrindavan, Aug. 31 -- The land of Braj turned into a living canvas of faith and festivity today as over 7 lakh devotees thronged Barsana, Rawal and Vrindavan to celebrate Radha Ashtami.
From morning till late evening, the chants of 'Radhe-Radhe', the beats of drums, showers of flowers, and a sea of pilgrims transformed the holy towns into an unforgettable spectacle of devotion.
At Radha Rani Temple in Barsana, the centre of the celebrations, thousands gathered to witness the commencement of the Budi Leela Mahotsav.
In Rawal, the birthplace of Radha Rani, special prayers and devotional evenings filled the air with divinity, while in Vrindavan, grand tableaux and rituals at Banke Bihari and Radha Raman temples drew massive crowds.
