Bhubaneswar, June 23 -- More than 50 athletes supported by the Reliance Foundation will compete at the 65th National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships at Kalinga Stadium here from June 24 to 28, with their sights focussed on qualifying for the Asian Games in Japan later this year.
The championships serve as the final selection trial for India's athletics contingent, with athletes required to finish among the top two in their respective events after meeting the qualifying standards to secure a place in the national squad.
Reliance Foundation Athletics Director James Hillier said several foundation athletes have already achieved the qualification marks and are prepared to deliver their best performances.
