Chennai, Aug. 2 -- Marking its much-awaited return after seven years, more than 3,000 women, breast cancer survivors and babywearing mothers took part in the Zydus Pinkathon held here on Sunday to create awareness on cancer.
Apart from cancer survivors, senior citizens, and people from different walks united for a celebration of health, fitness and inclusion and the city's vibrant running culture while reinforcing the importance of women's health, fitness and preventive care.
The event, led by Milind Soman, actor and renowned fitness icon, Founder of Pinkathon, featured race categories ranging from 3 km, Lifelong 5 km and 10 km to ultra-distance events of 50 km, 75 km, 100 km and the 100 km relay, welcoming participants across age groups,...
