Kolhapur, March 16 -- A major health scare occurred during the Balumama Yatra in Adamapur after more than 100 devotees reportedly suffered from food poisoning.
The incident came to light after devotees who consumed lassi distributed during the Rathotsav (chariot procession) began experiencing symptoms of illness.
According to preliminary information, the lassi was served to devotees as part of the religious celebrations. Soon after consuming the drink, several people complained of nausea, vomiting, and other symptoms associated with food poisoning.
As the number of affected devotees increased, they were rushed to nearby hospitals for immediate medical treatment.
