Aizawl, April 16 -- In one of the largest drug seizures in recent weeks, the Excise & Narcotics Department has confiscated over 10 kg of methamphetamine tablets in Aizawl and arrested five persons in connection with the case, officials said on Thursday.
According to a press handout issued by the Commissionerate of Excise & Narcotics, the seizure was made on April 15 at around 11:40 am near Folkland Park in Falkland locality, where officials recovered 10.021 kg of methamphetamine, estimated at about one lakh tablets.
