Patna, Sept. 16 -- More than 1.62 crore people affected by floods in Bihar have been provided with morning and evening meals so far, while 784 community kitchens are currently operating across the flood-affected areas, the Disaster Management Department said here today.

According to information shared by the department, 12 relief camps are currently functioning across the state, providing accommodation, food and medical facilities to 10,353 flood-affected people. So far, around 4.36 lakh polythene sheets, approximately 84,700 dry ration packets and nearly 1,400 food packets have been distributed among flood-affected people.
