Los Angeles, Sept. 4 -- Horror director and comedian Jordan Peel's yet-to-be-titled new film has hit some unexpected obstacles, as the movie - pegged as another horror-thriller - has been unset from its initial target of 2026 by Universal Pictures.

The Oscar-winner's fourth film was set to release in 2024 initially, but was pushed to October 2026 amid Hollywood strikes. The film's release target for now is uncertain, though Peele has confirmed that the movie is currently in the works, reports Variety.

Neither Universal nor Peele have commented on the reasons for the new delay. In light of the 'Get Out' director's style, nothing aside from the film's genre is known, with Peele and his reps keeping all details under wraps.
