Bhubaneswar, Feb. 2 -- The Orissa High Court today partially quashed the constitution of District Mineral Foundation in mineral-rich Jajpur district and directed the Government to constitute the foundation by inducting three members of the Gram Panchayats from an area where the major mineral concession is situated.
The writ petition filed in this regard had challenged the Notification dated 24 July, 2025 whereby, the Government reconstituted the Board of Trustees of "the District Mineral Foundation for the District of Jajpur". The board comprised 17 persons including the Sarpanch of Pimpudia Gram Panchayat, Sarpanch of Haripur Gram Panchayat and Sarpanch of Dhuligarh Gram Panchayat.
