Bhubaneswar, Aug. 8 -- The Orissa High Court has ordered the arrest of a Cameroon-flagged crude oil tanker, MT Unity (IMO No. 9388792), at Paradip Port over an alleged outstanding maritime claim of USD 110,168.50 arising from non-payment of dues for repair and replacement work on the vessel's auxiliary boiler.

Justice V. Narasingh passed the order on Friday on a suit filed by Boilerman Limited against MT Unity, FMTC Ship Charter LLC and Paradip Port Trust, holding that the plaintiff had established a "reasonably arguable best case and an enforceable maritime claim" under Section 4(1)(l) of the Admiralty (Jurisdiction and Settlement of Maritime Claims) Act, 2017.
