Kolkata, Sept. 9 -- : A 36-year-old fisherman from the Sundarbans, who suffered critical injuries in a Royal Bengal tiger attack while fishing, died after being declared brain dead at SSKM Hospital, preventing the family's decision to donate his organs that could save the lives of others.
According to the doctors at SSKM, the heart of the fisherman stopped during the organ retrieval procedure on Tuesday night.
Ajit Molla, a resident of Nagenabad in Maipith, Kultali, was attacked by a tiger last Wednesday while fishing for hilsa with family members near the Vidya River.
