Pune, Apr 27 ( UNI) On the occasion of the bicentenary of revolutionary leader Mahatma Jyotiba Phule's birth, the centenary of the Chavdar Tale Satyagraha, and 150 years of Mahatma Phule's tenure as a municipal councilor, the Standing Committee has approved in the general body meeting the organization of various social and cultural programs and activities by the Municipal Corporation.Deputy Mayor Parashuram Wadekar, while presiding over the meeting, ordered the formation of a special committee to organize these programs.In view of the bicentenary of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, the centenary of the Chavdar Tale Satyagraha, and 150 years of his role as a municipal councilor, this year should be celebrated as a year of social reform, he said.Wadeka...
