Bhubaneswar, Sept. 22 -- The Odisha Assembly on Tuesday witnessed repeated disruptions on the opening day of the monsoon session as Opposition Biju Janata Dal and Congress members stormed the well of the House over errors in school textbooks and the MMDR Amendment Act, forcing adjournment of the House till 4 PM.
The disruption began shortly after the House adopted an obituary motion moved by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, mourning the deaths of six former MLAs and people killed in flash floods in Nepal.
As Question Hour commenced, agitated BJD and Congress members entered the well carrying placards and posters and raised slogans over their respective demands, preventing the House from conducting normal business.
