Hyderabad/New Delhi, April 18 -- Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who met Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi on Saturday, congratulated her for guiding efforts to ensure Opposition unity against what he termed an "undemocratic" Constitutional amendment proposal.

Reddy alleged that the proposed changes were aimed at weakening the representation of southern, north-eastern and smaller states.

Praising Priyanka Gandhi's role, he said she had "clearly exposed" the intent behind the move and explained that the special parliamentary session was not genuinely focused on women's empowerment.
