New Delhi, July 19 -- A brief walkout by Opposition parties overshadowed the Centre's all-party meeting on Sunday ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, with the Congress accusing the Narendra Modi government of legitimising a group of rebel Trinamool Congress MPs despite their status remaining under the consideration of the Lok Sabha Speaker.

The government convened the meeting a day before the Monsoon Session, beginning on July 20, to seek cooperation from political parties and discuss its legislative agenda for the session, which will continue until August 13.
