Dehradun, Nov. 3 -- Opposition Congress today denounced the Uttarakhand Silver Jubilee celebrations organised by the Pushkar Singh Dhami-led BJP government in the state at a time when so many lives were lost in natural disasters.
"Several people are burried under landslides, many are still missing. There was no need for grand events. People don't celebrate even festivals for years if there is a tragedy or death at their places, but here comedy shows are being organised as a part of the silver jubilee celebration by the government.
"Have we lost our sensitivity? Can't we celebrate Silver Jubilee with simplicity?" said the Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly Yashpal Araya during the late evening discussion in the special session ...
