Agartala, July 27 -- The opposition CPI (M) in Tripura has expressed dissatisfaction over the SIT formed by the state government to investigate the death of former DGP Anurag Dhankar on last July 20.
His body was found hanging in the toilet of his office chamber in Police Headquarters.
A CPI-M legislative delegation, led by Leader of Opposition Jitendra Chaudhury, today called on Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu to request an investigation overseen by a sitting judge from Tripura High Court.
They highlighted concerns about the impartiality of the current investigation, citing doubts raised by Dhankar's family and several officials about the circumstances of his death.
