Chennai, June 22 -- The Opposition AIADMK on Monday staged a walk out from the Tamil Nadu Assembly after Speaker JCD Prabhakar rejected permission to speak on the Ammonia gas leak tragedy at a private seafood export and processing unit at Tiruvallur district on the Mekedatu dam row involving Karnataka.
Soon after the House assembled for the day after weekend holidays, the Opposition party members including DMK and AIADMK sought to raise the gas leak issue. The Speaker disallowed it saying Minister for Labour Welfare Skill department Minister J Mohammed Farvas would make a Statement under Rule 110 of the Assembly.
