Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 28 -- As many as 12,627 people have been arrested and 11,717 cases registered across Kerala so far as part of Operation Thoofan, the state-wide anti-drug campaign launched by the Kerala Police.
In the latest enforcement drive, 43 people were arrested in 40 cases, taking the total number of cases registered under the operation to 11,717.
Police have so far seized 24,381.997 grams of MDMA and 1,571.996 kg of ganja in connection with the operation.
Of the cases registered during the latest drive, 16 involved possession of small quantities of narcotic substances, two involved medium quantities, while 22 cases were registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Another 28 cases were regis...
