Ranchi, Oct. 23 -- The ongoing special drive "Operation Red Hunt" in state's border districtof Simdega has dealt a blow to criminal networks, instilling fear among offenders and fugitives.
Over the past two months, police have successfully executed 104 pending red warrants, markinga major achievement for the district police.
The operation was launched to apprehend long-absconding criminals against whom permanent warrants had been issued by various courts.
Conducted in 11 phases, the campaign involved multiple police teams carrying out consistent raids across the district.
According to official data, 51 accused were arrested during the operation, while 6 others voluntarily surrendered before the court.
