Chennai , April 28 -- One contract worker died of ashyxiation and three others were hospitalised after they inhaled toxic gas while cleaning a water tank at an Ethanol factory at the Northern Chennai suburb of Gummudipoondi on Tuesday.
Police said the incident occurred at the factory located at Thervoy Kandigai near Gummudipoondi where the one of contract workers was cleaning the water tank.
Soon the migrant worker from Odisha, identified as Dhananjay Mali, fell unconscious after inhaling a poisonous gas. As there was no response, three co-wokerswho entered the tank to rescue him also lost consciousness.
