Ranchi, June 4 -- Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday directed officials to develop one Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in every district as a model institution and align skill development programmes with industry requirements.

Reviewing the progress of the Labour, Employment, Training and Skill Development Department, Soren asked officials to upgrade existing ITIs and introduce courses based on emerging industrial demand and future workforce requirements.

The Chief Minister also directed the department to undertake grading of ITIs and introduce high-value agriculture-related courses in selected institutions.
