Kannur, Aug. 31 -- A 42-year-old man was killed in a massive explosion at a rented house used for stocking and making fire crackers, at Keezhara near Kannapuram, today. Kannapuram police and Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrested the main accused Anoop Malik of Alavil, from Kanhangad in Kasaragod late in the evening today.
KA Muhammed Aslam (42), brother-in-law of Anoop Malik (53), was killed in a massive explosion at a rented house, which was used to stock fire crackers at Keezhara near Kannapuram, in the wee hours (0200 AM) on Saturday.
Anoop Malik, who was absconding after the incident, was traced by police by using his mobile location.
Police registered a case against Anoop Malik under the Explosive Substances Act.
