Shillong, July 27 -- A alleged history sheeter was found dead and two others were grievously injured after they were abducted by unidentified men from the Pynthor area here in Meghalaya late Sunday night, police said on Monday.

The body of Shanbor Rani (38), who had a history of involvement in multiple murder and NDPS cases, was found on Monday morning with multiple stab injuries in the Mawkasiang forested area, Vivek Syiem, the district police chief of East Khasi Hills, said.

Rani reportedly sustained around 10 to 12 deep cut injuries to his neck, back, and other parts of his bodyOne of the victims with a stab wound was found near the gate of the Border Security Force (BSF) battalion in Mawpat late Sunday night, he said.
