Imphal, July 29 -- A youth was killed while two CRPF personnel were injured in an incident today at Noney district of Manipur.
Police identified the youth as Lanbilung Riamei, a member of the Naga Village Guard, while the injured CRPF personnel were identified as Head Constable Radheshyam and Constable (General Duty) Jitendra Kumar of Cobra Battalion, CRPF.
Police said CRPF CoBRA personnel carried out an operation near Bitiang village in Manipur's Noney district where an NVG training camp is reportedly located.
An exchange of fire broke out, resulting in the death and injuries.
The injured were rushed to hospital for treatment.
