Hazaribag, Feb. 8 -- One person was killed and another seriously injured in a road accident near Jumra Tiliai in Hazaribag district on Saturday night, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Shashi Kumar, a resident of Harli-Peto village and son of late Suresh Prasad Kushwaha. The injured, Ramashish Kumar, is the husband and representative of a Panchayat Samiti member from Harli Panchayat.
According to information, the two were returning home on a motorcycle from Jumra on Saturday night when a high-speed unidentified truck, travelling from Hazaribag towards Bagodar, hit them near Jumra Tiliai.
