Mumbai, Feb. 9 -- One woman died and another woman sustained burn injuries in a fire that broke out in a Mumbai highrise residential building located at Vile Parle area of city's suburb on Monday afternoon.
According to the fire brigade sources the fire broke out from the 13th floor of the Suvidha Pearl building at PM Road around 12.44 PM, Fire officials said the blaze began in an electrical wiring duct inside a room and soon spread to other rooms in the apartment.
The deceased was identified as Bhavna Satra (63), who was in the apartment at the time of the incident, along with the injured woman, Aneree (34).
Officials said that the victims inhaled smoke, which caused breathing difficulties which led to the death of one of them.
