Thrissur, Sept. 7 -- Thousands of people will converge at the Thrissur swaraj ground tomorrow to witness the famous Pulikali, also known as the "Tiger Dance", one of Kerala's most vibrant and unique folk art forms, culminating in the Onam festival.
More than 400 "tigers" will storm the streets, transforming the city into a sea of humanity, making this year's Onam festival a spectacular fest for the eyes.
Nine Pulikali teams, each one between 35 and 51 painted performers, along with a float and a tableau that blends mythology with contemporary themes will circumvent the Vadakkunnathan temple covering a distance of three kms.
