Arti Bali, Feb. 11 -- Climate change, rapid urbanisation and rising identity politics are increasingly shaping the concerns of contemporary artists, as landscapes are altered by development and societies grapple with conflict and instability. For Kerala-born artist Om Surya, these pressures form the emotional and visual core of his latest exhibition, "Place No Trace / Trace No Place: Luminous Twilight."Speaking about the title of the show, Surya said, "Twilight is a place where we feel uncertainty about time and space," describing it as both a visual and psychological state he has explored in his paintings for over two decades.
