Hyderabad, July 31 -- Hyderabad-based Olectra Greentech Limited today claimed it has achieved a major milestone in India's electric mobility sector by becoming the first company in the country to deploy 4,000 electric buses on Indian roads.
The landmark achievement was marked with the symbolic handover of Olectra's 4,000th electric bus to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu during the flagging off ceremony of 297 Olectra electric buses inducted into the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) fleet, the company said in a release here.
