New Delhi, July 15 -- Development of Old Delhi will now be the priority of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and the state government, said Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra on Wednesday as the saffron party won the civic body polls after a long haul of 24 years.

Calling it a "historic" day, particularly for the residents of Old Delhi, Malhotra said that by electing a BJP Zonal Chairperson in the City and Sadar Zone, municipal councillors have connected Old Delhi with the development vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, creating a unique milestone.
