Khammam, July 20 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Monday said oil palm cultivation offers farmers a stable and assured source of income, even during drought conditions, and urged them to adopt the crop on a larger scale to improve their livelihoods.
Inaugurating Godrej's Rs 300-crore Integrated Palm Oil Industry at Anjanapuram village in Konijerla mandal of Khammam district, along with Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and company representatives, Bhatti said the project would be a game-changer for the district's agriculture-based economy.
