Jeddah, Aug. 8 -- The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has welcomed the signing of the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement between Turkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, describing it as an "important strategic step" toward strengthening regional security and cooperation.

OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha expressed his "strong appreciation and support" for the agreement, saying it reflects the three countries' commitment to enhancing regional and international cooperation, according to an OIC statement issued.
