Kendrapada, Oct. 5 -- In a remarkable reunion after nearly four decades of separation, Odisha Police traced a woman from Kendrapara who had spent years in institutional care in Himachal Pradesh and brought her back to her native village, reuniting her with her family.
Pramila Malik, daughter of late Krushna Malik of Baluria village under Pattamundai police station, had married late Dinabandhu Malik of Nandalal Patna in Alapua in 1986. The couple had a son, Dhrubacharan Malik, who was born in February 1987.
Pramila subsequently left her matrimonial home and returned to her parental house. After the death of her father, she reportedly left home without informing her family members or relatives.
