Bhubaneswar, Aug. 6 -- Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday arrested two government engineering officials and a private contractor for manipulating official records to inflate payments for work that was either not executed or carried out below prescribed standards during the reclamation and renovation of a tank in Paralakhemundi Municipality, Gajapati district. The alleged irregularities resulted in a loss of Rs 55.69 lakh to the State exchequer.

The accused are former Junior Engineer D.
