Bhubaneswar, April 9 -- The Odisha Vigilance on Thursday arrested Additional Chief Engineer (Dam Safety) Rajesh Chandra Mohanty on charges of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
According to vigilance officials, Mohanty will be produced later in the day before the Court of the Special Judge, Vigilance, in Cuttack.
Investigations revealed that during searches conducted at properties linked to the senior engineer, officials uncovered significant assets allegedly beyond his legitimate earnings.
These include a palatial multi-storeyed building in Bhubaneswar, a farmhouse with a double-storeyed structure spread over approximately 4,000 square feet on 1.71 acres of land, eight plots, bank deposits exceeding Rs.1....
