Bhubaneswar, July 9 -- Odisha Vigilance on Thursday arrested Rabindra Kumar Nayak, Forest Ranger of Kendrapada Forest Range, on charges of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income and produced him before the Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack.
According to Vigilance sources, searches conducted at properties linked to Nayak revealed disproportionate assets, including two buildings, one of them a palatial four-storey house with a built-up area of about 7,038 sq ft; six high-value plots; 283 grams of gold ornaments; cash worth Rs.2.14 lakh; bank deposits amounting to Rs.76 lakh; and a four-wheeler.
