Bhubaneswar, July 20 -- Odisha will prepare district-specific action plans for 2026-2029 to achieve the objectives of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, with a focus on reducing drug demand, curbing trafficking, strengthening law enforcement, creating public awareness, expanding treatment and rehabilitation, and reviewing progress regularly.
The decision was taken at a review meeting on the implementation of major government schemes and programmes, chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg here on Monday.
Official sources said the district plans would strengthen coordinated efforts against substance abuse and illicit drug trafficking.
