Bhubaneswar, July 8 -- Odisha Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister K.V. Singh Deo on Wednesday announced that the PM Surya Ghar Yojana will be integrated with all major state housing schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), to promote rooftop solar energy and provide affordable, clean electricity to households.
The announcement was made while chairing a high-level review meeting on power sector reforms, public safety measures, and the implementation of various Central and State government schemes.
Singh Deo said the integration of the PM Surya Ghar Yojana with housing schemes would remain optional for beneficiaries but would enable them to avail the benefits of rooftop solar installations.
