Bhubaneswar, Jan. 21 -- The Odisha government has announced the implementation of the Mahanadi Riverfront Development Project at Cuttack, a flagship urban rejuvenation initiative aimed at transforming the riverfront into a vibrant public, cultural, and recreational destination.

With an estimated cost of Rs.150 crore, the project will span 426 acres along the Mahanadi riverfront and will be executed in three phases.

The initiative is expected to significantly boost tourism while enhancing the overall urban environment of Cuttack. Adequate financial support has been ensured through a Rs.150 crore allocation in the State Budget for 2025-26.
