Bhubaneswar, Sept. 4 -- The Odisha government has set a target to lay the foundation stones for more than 30 In-Stream Storage Structures (ISS) across the state by the end of 2026, aiming to strengthen water conservation and enhance water availability for various needs.
Principal Secretary of the Water Resources Department, Shubha Sharma, reviewed the progress of preparatory works for the proposed In-Stream Storage Structures on Thursday and directed officials to expedite the process for foundation laying.
During the review meeting, Sharma said the state government has accorded priority to the construction of ISS projects as part of its efforts to strengthen water conservation and improve the availability of water for different purposes....
