Bhubaneswar, April 23 -- Odisha has set an ambitious target to bring three lakh households under rooftop solar coverage, marking a major stride in its transition toward clean and sustainable energy.

To boost adoption, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has introduced the Utility-Led Aggregation (ULA) Scheme.

Launched in Odisha in November 2025, the scheme enables domestic consumers with a 1 kW connected load to install rooftop solar systems at a highly subsidized cost of just Rs 1,875.

In a bid to fast-track implementation, authorities are preparing to scale up installations to 25,000 households per month in the coming phases.
