Bhubaneswar, Feb. 12 -- In a major step toward combating the rising threat of cybercrime, the Odisha Police is set to significantly expand its cyber security infrastructure.

Director General of Police (DGP) Y.B. Khurania has announced that 20 new Cyber Police Stations will soon be inaugurated across various police districts in the state.

This initiative aims to enhance public service delivery and strengthen the state's response to cyber fraud and economic offences.

Speaking at a high-level review meeting held at the State Police Headquarters, the DGP emphasized the importance of deploying specially trained cyber personnel and technical experts to ensure the effective functioning of these stations.
