Bhubaneswar, June 15 -- Odisha's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has reached an advanced stage, with enumeration forms distributed to 3.31 crore people, comprising 99.14 per cent of voters across the state, according to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO).

As of 6 pm on June 15, forms had been distributed to more than 3.31 crore electors. The exercise, undertaken on the Election Commission's directions, aims to make the voter list more accurate, transparent and up to date.

With distribution nearing completion, the focus has shifted to digitisation. So far, 42.86 pc of the forms, covering 1.43 crore voters, have been digitised. Authorities plan to speed up the process in the coming days.
